As institutions crumble and the post-war consensus loses its power, we must wonder how to make sense of change, duration, time, events, meaning…and what comes next. I’m teaching a four-part, in-person course in London, starting April 22nd, running fortnightly.
Through the lens of chaos, stasis, progress, and providence, we’ll look at, among others, Herodotus, Vico, Condorcet, Kant, Hegel, Marx, de Maistre, Dilthey, Collingwood, Danto, Lasch, Spengler, Foucault, MacIntyre, Koselleck, Biggar. Reading will be sent to attendees in advance. The course will also be available by video. For more details and sign-up, see here. Please message me if you have any questions.
Much more to come! I have a funny plan beginning in July…
This looks fantastic, Nina
wish you could offer online classes too!
